Golf Tournament
The AKPsi Open was created in 1997 as a chapter fundraiser.  Hailed as a success, it has evolved into our largest philanthropic event.  The tournament has benefited several charities, with the most recent being our own Stephen Vasquez Scholarship.  The fund was established by Iota Xi in honor of a founding brother of the ASU chapter.  The scholarship, awarded to a business student each academic year, serves as one of the many ways we are giving back to the W. P. Carey Business School.

The Mangeant
Debuting in 2007, the Mangeant is our most unique and humorous fundraiser.  With a different theme for each pageant, over a dozen highly polished males vie for the title of “Mr. AKPsi.”  The event has raised awareness and thousands of dollars to support Best Buddies, an organization devoted to establishing one-to-one friendships between individuals with intellectual disabilities and middle school, high school, and college students throughout Arizona.

Biz-Olympics
As a way of building relationships between members of the W. P. Carey community, Alpha Kappa Psi created a competition.  Biz-Olympics pits the best business organizations on campus against each other in various tests of physical and mental fitness.  The result is a rewarding competition with serious bragging rights and a $1,000 cash prize for the victors.

 

The AZAFAP Picnic
Iota Xi is the leading financial contributor to the Arizona Association of Foster and Adoptive Parents.  The Arizona Association for Foster & Adoptive Parents is a non-profit, statewide organization that serves families who adopt children and provide foster and kinship care.  As a capstone to the semester, each pledge class organizes a picnic for the foster and adoptive families.
